Man inspired by Iron Man creates real-life Jarvis

Having a real-life Jarvis from Iron Man in your home will make you famous in the geek community, that is what made Chad Barraford create his own Jarvis. For the uninitiated, Jarvis is the digital assistant of Tony Stark (Iron Man). He is the AI whom Tony talks to in his computer room/laboratory and his guide when wearing the Iron Man suit.
Wait, wait, wait, is it even possible to create such an advanced AI now? Well, yes and no. Yes in the sense that the basic capabilities like giving commands and simple conversation are already possible. No because the Jarvis in the movie is super advanced to the point where he can create his own programs, design machines, and talk to Tony like a human being capable of making critical decisions.
Chad made one using only a Mac Mini, wireless microphone, a cheap automation system, RFID tag reader, and wall speakers. After two weeks of coding and $691 his version of Jarvis was born.
So, what can Chad Barraford do with his Jarvis? Like in the movies, Chad can interact verbally and give commands to Jarvis. Jarvis updates Chad about household matters, the weather, his online subscriptions, email,  and personal IMs. What’s cool here is that Jarvis detects if there are other humans in the house, in which case he’ll not read the messages sent to his master for privacy.
